Oh man, my buddy had almost the same thing happen out in Bakersfield last summer. His heat gun died mid job and he was about to lose his mind until another guy on site pulled out some cheapo one he got on sale somewhere. Took them like ten extra minutes but they got the plug freed up and the job done. It's wild how the cheap tools sometimes just show up when the fancy ones quit. My buddy still talks about that thing like it was a gift from above.
