That cheap turbo timer I bought is now a paperweight

Spent $28 on a turbo timer off eBay to save my WRX after hard pulls, but it kept frying the wiring harness so I had to rip it out in my driveway last week. Has anyone else found these things are just not worth the hassle for a daily driver?

Man, that sucks but it reminds me of when I wired up some cheap fog lights on my old truck and they melted the switch in a week. The lesson I keep learning with cars is that the cheap stuff usually costs more in the long run, whether it's time or fried wires. Your harness is probably better off without that thing anyway.

Cheap stuff saved me $200 on headers and they're still fine after 3 years.
