Overheard a guy at AutoZone say his cold air intake actually hurt his gas mileage
I was grabbing some degreaser yesterday and this older guy was telling the clerk how his $200 intake made his truck run worse after 3 months. He said the computer never adjusted right and he lost 4 mpg on his highway commute. Has anyone here actually measured a real gain from one of these or is it mostly noise?

Honestly, I spent $150 on one of those for my old Civic and the only measurable gain I got was my wallet getting $150 lighter. Ngl, I think I lost like 2 mpg and gained a fun new noise that made me feel like I was driving a lawnmower.
