Best week I ever had with my project car was this past June in Austin

I was swapping out the stock intake for a cold air setup on my old Mustang. Usually I break something or strip a bolt. But that week every single part fit perfect, no drilling or hammering. The MAF sensor even lined up without needing an adapter. I finished the whole thing in two days flat, including tuning with my laptop. Has anyone else had one of those rare jobs where nothing goes wrong?

Three perfect jobs in twenty years of wrenching, and that June Austin trip sounds like one of them. I think those rare smooth builds are the universe’s way of reminding us we don’t always have to fight our cars. It’s like when you hit every green light on a Monday morning, makes you suspicious something bad is coming later.

Hitting every green light on a Monday morning is the perfect way to put it. I always start checking my wallet every five minutes after a day like that. Those smooth builds almost feel like the car is apologizing for all the other headaches. Makes you wonder if the universe is trying to balance the scales or just messing with you for a bigger laugh later.
