Got a nasty surprise under a quarter panel on a '17 F-150 last week
Honestly, I was doing a repair on this truck's rear quarter, a pretty standard job. Pulled the interior trim and the inner liner to get to the backside, and there it was: a whole section of the inner structure was packed with expanding foam, like the kind from a can. Someone had clearly tried to hide some old rust or damage before. Tbh, it was a mess and it meant the whole repair plan went out the window. I had to cut out all the foam and the compromised metal, which added like 3 extra hours to the job. Ngl, it was frustrating. Has anyone else run into this kind of hack repair, and what's your process for dealing with it?

Ugh, expanding foam is the worst hack job out there.

What kind of mess did you see it used for? I've seen it do some real damage when people try to fix big gaps with it.
