Had a big limb swing back on me while felling a pine in Boise last spring, almost took out a fence.

Man, you ever think you could just muscle a limb down? I used to. Then I watched a buddy try it on a big oak branch. It sprung back like a slingshot and smacked his truck door so hard it left a dent you could see from space. That was the day I learned to respect the tension in the wood. Now I use a rope and a pulley every single time, no matter how small the job seems.
