Why does nobody talk about how refrigerator compressors changed after 2015?
I've been swapping out compressors on 10-year-old units that still run fine, but the ones from 2016 onward seem to burn out after 3-4 years max. Is anyone else seeing this trend with the inverter models in their shop?

Flip the high side filter every time you swap one, that's usually the real killer.

Had a buddy who never did that, just let it ride. Spent a whole weekend chasing a noise that ended up being the filter on the outgoing swap. Took three beers and a sanity check to figure it out.
