That one fill valve trick for Samsung washers

Was working on a Samsung WA45N7250AW yesterday. Kept getting a slow fill. Checked everything. Inlet screens were clean. Pressure was fine. Turns out the fill valve itself has a tiny internal filter that clogs up. Never knew that. Cost me an extra 45 minutes. Anyone else run into this hidden filter thing?

Yall ever checked if the previous owner or tenant used some kind of hard water treatment or conditioner? I had one where the fill valve clogged because a water softener system dumped too much salt into the lines. It built up inside that little hidden filter and turned it into a solid brick. Took me forever to figure out it wasn't just a normal sediment issue. That salt crust is WAY harder to clean than plain old mineral scale.

Wait, is it really that common though? I mean, maybe it's just me but I've done a ton of Samsung washers and only seen that tiny filter clog up like twice. Most of the time it's the main screens or a bad valve. Salt crust sounds nasty, but idk if that's a normal thing for most folks to deal with.
