Had a pressure switch fail on a Maytag dryer in the middle of a job yesterday

I was finishing up a belt replacement on a Maytag Neptune when the drum wouldn't spin at all. Checked the thermal fuse and belt switch, but everything was fine. Finally traced it to the pressure switch in the venting assembly, which had a crack in the housing. Had to run to the parts house in Springfield to grab a new one, which set me back about $35. Anyone have a good trick for testing those switches quickly before you start taking everything apart?

Those pressure switches are a real weak spot on those models. I had the exact same failure on a Neptune last month, and it took me forever to find it. A quick continuity check with a meter at the connector can save you a lot of time.

janaf76 is right about that continuity check, it saved me hours on a similar job last week.
