Why I stopped rolling my eyes at anime power system chats

I always figured debates over power systems were just pointless noise in anime communities. After really getting into how curses work in Jujutsu Kaisen, I saw how these talks can make the story more engaging. What anime made you see a discussion topic in a new light?

The Domain Expansion rules broke my brain honestly. It felt like the real cursed technique was making us understand all the conditions. I gave up and just enjoyed the chaos.

My buddy Mark spent a whole weekend trying to map out the Nen system from Hunter x Hunter on a whiteboard. He had all these strings connecting the types and conditions. He used to say power talks were dumb, but seeing it laid out physically changed his mind. He said it wasn't about who would win in a fight anymore. It showed him how the author built the whole world on that one system. Now he gets annoyed when a show's rules don't make sense.
