Vent: That sacred timeline aspect in anime is not as special as everyone says
I was reading through the Fandom wiki for Steins;Gate last night and found out the concept of converging world lines was ripped straight from a 1990s sci-fi novel called The Light of Other Days. Nobody in the anime discussions ever brings this up. They act like it's this groundbreaking idea unique to the show. Why do we give anime creators all the credit when the source material was already sitting there for decades?
Yeah it's wild how much good stuff just gets buried. Seems like every year there's some old book or movie that predicted something we all thought was new. I guess most things have been thought of before, we just don't hear about them until someone makes it popular later.
