Tried to show my friend the classic "Goku vs Frieza" fight from DBZ at a watch party in Denver last week
I grabbed the wrong hard drive and ended up playing 20 minutes of a knockoff rip I downloaded in 2008 that had the audio out of sync by like 3 seconds. Nobody said anything for a solid minute until someone asked if this was a satire version - anyone else ever botch a rewatch this badly?

Ha! Oh man, that's brutal. I once brought the wrong DVD to a movie night and we watched twenty minutes of a dubbed bootleg where everyone sounded like chain-smoking robots. At least your friend got a good laugh out of it, even if the fight was a total disaster.
