Shoutout to the person who corrected me on the 'Your Name' release order

Honestly, I kept saying the 'Kimi no Na wa.' movie came out in 2017, but a user here pointed out the Japanese theatrical release was actually August 2016. That detail matters for timeline charts. Anyone else get a basic fact wrong for ages?

Oh man, that reminds me of the time I argued with my friend for a week that 'Spirited Away' won the Oscar in 2001. I was so sure. Turns out it was the 2003 ceremony for the 2002 release. Felt like a real dummy when I finally looked it up.

Always check the actual ceremony year, not the movie release date. I got burned on that with Lord of the Rings a while back. The Oscar date thing is a classic trap.

Ngl, I hate to be that person but Spirited Away actually won at the 2003 ceremony for the 2002 release date. Just a small thing. Otherwise totally agree, the year confusion is the worst.
