I was winding my cassette tapes the wrong way for two decades until my Walkman chewed one up last Tuesday
For 20 years I would tighten the tape hub by hand until it felt snug, but a repair guy in Austin showed me that the pinch roller needs a bit of slack or it eats the tape, so now I am wondering if my whole stack of mixtapes is damaged.
