Fixed a 1984 receiver with a paperclip, no joke
Was tracing a crackle in my Kenwood amp last Tuesday and the ground wire snapped clean off. Used a bent paperclip to hold it and it's been dead silent for 6 days now. Anyone else keep junk parts that just happen to work?

Paperclip is now a permanent part of the parts bin, honestly better than half the stuff I buy. Had a DVD player held together with a twist tie for two years and it outlived the TV it was hooked to.
