My cousin argued the 'Inception' top should have fallen at the end

He said it would have been a cleaner break from the dream logic, and honestly, after rewatching it last night, I kinda see his point. What's an ending you think would have been better if it just committed harder?

That's a really interesting take from your cousin. Honestly, a definitive fall would have robbed the movie of its magic for me. The whole point is that Cobb chooses his reality, top be damned. A cleaner break might have felt too neat for such a messy, personal story. Some movies are better for leaving you with that nagging question.

Ever notice how the best endings feel like they just stop mid-thought? My friend still gets mad about that show where the screen cut to black mid-sentence. He wanted answers, but I'm like, dude, that's the whole point. It sticks with you because you have to finish it yourself. Maybe we just hate not knowing for sure.
