Just realized I've thought of 50 different endings for 'The Shawshank Redemption'

I was cleaning out some old notebooks and found a list. I've been jotting down alternate ending ideas for movies I love since college, and I guess Shawshank is my go-to. Hit number 50 last week without even trying. Most of them are terrible, like Andy actually did commit the crime and the warden catches him, or Red never gets paroled. But a few are okay, like what if Brooks's suicide attempt failed and he came back to the library, or if Andy left a coded map for Red in the wall instead of just the letter. It's weird how one movie can spin off so many 'what ifs' in your head. Anyone else have a movie they've rewritten a bunch of times in their mind?

Honestly that's so cool you kept that list. Tbh I do the same thing with The Dark Knight, like what if Harvey Dent lived.
