Spare battery trick that saved a whole shift in Denver

Last week I had a job where the panel kept dying during programming. Pulled my hair out for an hour before trying a simple 12V 7Ah SLA from my truck instead of the wall transformer. It held steady power and let me finish the enrollment without any brownouts. Anyone else keep a spare battery in the van for bench testing panels before mounting?
