PSA: the homeowner's dog set off the motion sensor before I even got my ladder off the truck
I showed up to a ranch house in Boise last Tuesday to swap a keypad and their golden retriever was already inside the hallway staring at the passive infrared like it owed him money. I armed the panel to test zones and the dog bolted past the sensor, tripped the alarm, and the siren scared him so bad he knocked over a floor lamp while the homeowner stood there holding a cup of coffee just watching it all. Any of you keep treats in the van for jobs like this, or do you just test zones with the homeowner holding the pet in another room?
