Hotel install in Vegas, the front desk bypassed our alarm panel twice
I did a retrofit at a 400-room place off the Strip last month, and the night manager kept hitting the panic button to test it without telling us. They tripped the dialer twice during setup, which sent dispatch out and cost the client a false alarm fine. How do you guys handle customers who mess with the system before the final walkthrough?

Honestly, I used to think a quick walkthrough was enough to keep people from touching things, but this changed my mind completely. The trick is to lock the panel down or disable the panic button in test mode before you even hand over the keys, saves everyone a headache. After getting burned once, I never assume the client will wait for the final sign-off.
