Customer asked me to hide a keypad behind a poster and I should have said no
Setting up a system for a lady in Austin last month, she insisted I mount her main keypad behind a huge movie poster on her living room wall. Every time she wanted to arm it, she had to lift the poster up with one hand and punch in the code with the other. Has anyone else dealt with a customer who made a setup way harder than it needed to be?

Well technically she could mount it somewhere low and use a remote fob instead (or even a phone app).

3 feet off the ground in the middle of a stairwell is just asking for trouble. My cousin tried the phone app thing and the battery died at 5pm on a Tuesday when she was rushing out to pick up her kids. Plus those remote fobs lose signal if you're more than 30 feet away from the unit, so half the time you're standing there pressing the button hoping it works. Then there's the whole issue of getting the thing mounted properly in drywall without a stud finder and ending up with a hole the size of a golf ball. Honestly, just stick a hook by the door at eye level and call it a day.
