Torque wrench sent for calibration, came back worse

Sent my Snap-on torque wrench to the shop last month for a routine calibration check. Got it back with a sticker saying it was off by 18% at 50 ft-lbs, but they still certified it. Are you guys seeing this trend where calibration shops push the limits just to hit turnaround times?

Jeez, that's infuriating. I'd call them out on the math though, 18% off is way outside spec and slapping a cert sticker on it is basically them saying "close enough," which ain't the same as accurate. Ask for the actual before and after data, or demand they redo it without the rush.
