The parts room at a shop in Wichita had bins labeled by hand, and it beat every digital system I've touched
Stopped by a small repair station at KICT while picking up a wing spar shipment and the whole parts crib was organized with a Sharpie and masking tape, nothing else. Every bin had the part number, the ATA chapter, and the guy's initials who stocked it, and the lead told me they hadn't lost a part in 4 years. I've worked at places with six figure inventory software that still couldn't find a gasket. Any of you run a crib off labels and a clipboard, or am I just nostalgic for the way it used to be done?

Man, and those initials mean the stocker actually owns his bins, which digital systems never pull off.
