I mean, back in the 80s, clearing a plane after a rushed engine check was routine. Maybe it's just me, but it doesn't sit right anymore.

But what if we're just doing more complex stuff now? My grandpa's car had maybe five wires total. Modern cars have computers and sensors everywhere. The extra steps might be there for a reason, not just less skill.

How did they manage to get so much done with less tech? @jade687, I see your point. My grandpa fixed cars with just basic tools and his own skills. He said a simple repair took a few hours back then, but now it drags on with all the extra steps.
