Got schooled on a C-check in Tulsa over a stripped fastener

The lead told me 'you're fighting it, not fixing it' after I spent 30 minutes on one bolt. Anyone have a go-to trick for dealing with rounded heads on old airframe hardware?

Sometimes you gotta fight it to win, that lead sounds like he's never been stuck on a single bolt before.
