Potato skin crisps from my air fryer stopped my compost bin from filling up so fast

I used to peel potatoes and throw the skins away. Now I save them, toss with a little oil and salt, and air fry for about 10 minutes. They get super crunchy and make a perfect snack. It feels good to use every part of the veggie. My family asks for them all the time now.

Have you tried this with other vegetable peels, like from carrots or beets? I wonder if they crisp up the same way.

Yeah, @the_patricia, carrot peels crisped up nicely but beets were soggy.

LOL, of course beets turned out soggy. They're basically just wet dirt shaped like a vegetable. Carrot peels work because they're dry and thin, but beet peels just hold onto all that moisture. Some veggies just weren't meant to be chips.
