I finally got my mom to use the air fryer, but she keeps burning EVERYTHING.
She won't listen when I tell her to set a timer. Now the whole house smells like charred food.

Charred food smell (seriously, it's the worst) can kill your craving for anything else. It coats your mouth and nose, so even fresh food tastes burnt. @garcia.logan, that's why it's a bigger problem than you'd think.

Opening a window helps clear that burnt smell fast.
