TIL comparing two AI transcription tools saved me 10 hours a week

I was using Otter.ai for all my meeting notes but it kept messing up names and numbers from my calls with clients in Austin. Then I tried Deepgram and the difference was night and day it caught every detail from a 45 minute call about a $12k project budget. Has anyone else switched and seen that big of a jump in accuracy?

Damn, that's a pretty big jump. Wait so were you doing a lot of manual cleanup with Otter before you switched or was it just not catching anything useful from those Austin calls? I'm curious if the difference was mostly with accents or specific jargon or if Deepgram just handles the whole conversation better across the board.

Whoa wait, @anthonykim you're telling me that's only 10 hours a week? That's like a whole extra work day just from cleanup. I mean yeah Otter is fine for casual stuff but once you get into numbers and names it falls apart fast. I had a call where Otter wrote "twelve thousand" as "twelve" and then the whole budget discussion got mangled from there. Deepgram actually got the dollar amounts right on a call where we were talking about 5 different line items.
