PSA: That AI consultant told me to feed it all my customer data...

A guy from a big AI firm talked me into dumping our entire customer database into their model for better recommendations... within a week, a competitor launched a product suspiciously similar to our best selling item. I still don't know if it was the AI or just bad luck, but has anyone else seen their data come back to bite them?

Got burned myself last year doing exactly this. Used to think I was being too paranoid about it all but now I see it was dumb to hand over that much info without thinking it through.

Laughing at my own past self for thinking I was being clever while basically handing a stranger my whole life story. Guess we all need a good roasting before we learn the lesson.
