That fire test comment from @beth_sanchez got me. My place is so drafty the insulation is probably just vintage band t-shirts and regret. I did help a friend stuff some denim batts in his ceiling once. The noise thing is real, it's way quieter than fiberglass, but we spent the whole day sneezing blue dust. Felt like we'd insulated the place with a cough.

What is it with clouds and perfect nights? That totally sucks but you're right about the patience game. At least the prep work wasn't wasted.

Is this really about haircuts or are we overthinking a basic service job? I get that being nice helps, but it's not that deep... some folks just want a trim without the life story. Maybe that guy just liked your haircuts and had more events to go to. Turning every chat into some big relationship shift feels like a stretch.
