Hot take: the voiceover in season 2 of The Bear is doing too much
I was at my cousin's place in Portland last week watching the new episodes, and every time the narration kicked in I found myself reaching for my phone. Does anyone else feel like it's telling us what to feel instead of letting the scenes breathe?

Skip the narration and just watch the plates hit the table. It's the same thing with podcasts now, everyone feels the need to explain every single moment instead of trusting the listener. Good storytelling leaves room for you to figure it out yourself, and when they stuff it full of voiceover it just feels like they don't trust you.
