The 'clean' skincare label cost me $220 before I read the fine print
I picked up this 4-step routine from a small brand in Portland last spring, all labeled clean and natural. Turns out their formula still had a preservative that breaks me out, and the FDA doesn't even regulate that term. I checked the ingredient list after my third breakout and saw the same stuff I had avoided for years. Is there a trick to vetting these brands without a chemistry degree, or am I stuck testing everything on my arm for a week?

Skip the claims, flip the bottle over and cross-check every ingredient on cosdna first.
