Burned $300 on a TikTok growth bot, buyer beware

Last spring I paid $300 for a tool that promised to auto-follow and comment on TikTok to grow my shop's account. It got me 2,000 fake followers in a week, but my engagement tanked and TikTok shadowbanned me for a month. Anybody else try these bots and end up worse off than before?

The 2,000 fake followers thing cracked me up because my bot did the exact same thing. I got 1,800 bots that all had the same profile pic of a cartoon cat, and my real followers started asking if I bought my audience. I mean, the shadowban was honestly a blessing in disguise since it forced me to stop checking my phone every five minutes. Still, $300 for a week of digital clout and a month of nothing is a rough trade.
