Question about tenant repairs and the 30-day rule in Ohio
When my landlord at the Elm Street duplex stopped fixing the leaky kitchen faucet for 40 days last spring, I finally just called a plumber myself and deducted the $180 from rent. The landlord threatened eviction, but the county housing office told me I followed the written notice steps right. Has anyone else tried the self-help repair route and had the landlord lawyer up?
