The $6 thrift store cassette had a totally different band on side B

Picked up a random tape at the Goodwill over on 8th street last weekend. Cover said some 80s synth band I never heard of. Popped it in my car deck and side A was exactly that. Flipped it and suddenly it's some punk band from Chicago, completely different recording. No sticker on the shell saying it was a misprint or anything. Reminds me of that mixup thread about the 1993 single where the b-side was a demo from another label. Anyone else run into tapes where the two sides just don't match who's on the cover? I'm trying to figure out if this was a factory flub or someone's homemade dub job, because the sound quality is way too clean for a bootleg.

Wait, are we sure you didn't accidentally grab a demo tape that some kid made in 1987 and just forgot to label the shell? Cause that's usually how these things go down, but you said the sound quality is clean, so now I'm suspicious it's some factory workers' prank that got shipped out. Honestly, that's wild, I'd be more mad about the misleading cover than the surprise punk band, but at least you got two albums for the price of one. My luck, I'd flip it and get a full side of someone's vacuum cleaner recording, so you're already winning. Keep that tape, it's probably worth more to some weirdo collector than any of us would guess.
