My old measuring tape feels different now after learning laser scanning

I spent ages with a tape measure mapping out sites by myself. Getting the hang of a laser scanner changed how I see spaces, but it's not the same hands-on feel. Do you mix old tools with new tech, or just go full modern?

But honestly @evan56, hanging onto everything old just holds everyone back. Look at how many bad old rules we've dumped, like outdated medical ideas or unfair social stuff. Progress means letting go of what doesn't work anymore to make room for what does.
