Read this wild article about a guy who tried to start his own micronation in the Pacific. He bought an old oil rig and everything. It fell apart because of money and storms, but the IDEA is just so out there. Makes you realize how many of these almost-colonies there are. People get this bug to build something new, no matter how crazy it seems. That Antarctic thing must have been a real rabbit hole.
