I always thought fountain pens were just fancy clutter until I tried a cheap dip pen with flexible nib at a local craft fair in Portland. That one $38 set with two nibs and a bottle of ink completely changed how I write letters, the line variation makes my cursive look like an art piece. Anyone else made the jump from ballpoint to dip pens and never looked back?
so you're saying a $38 pen set changed your whole personality basically. i mean, i get it, line variation is cool, but my $3 bic gets the job done without making me feel like i need to frame my grocery list. glad you found your thing though, just don't start lecturing people about the "soul of handwriting" at parties.
