Saw a street sign change names overnight in my town
Always thought those 'reality shift' stories were nonsense. Then the corner of Maple and 5th became Maple and 6th. The old sign was just gone, new one bolted in. No construction notice, nothing. Anyone else have a local landmark just switch up on them?

That sign change stuff reminds me of when my grocery store moved the cereal aisle.

Right? It's the same feeling of mild chaos... like your brain's autopilot just crashes for a second. You wander to the old spot and just stare at the soup cans. They do it on purpose to make you see other stuff, but man it throws off your whole trip.

My buddy swears his local library was brick for years, then one day it was just painted blue. No work crews or anything, it's wild.
