Storefront jobs now often include laminated glass for safety
This shift towards safety glass is really catching on in my area.

See my cousin's hardware store pass on the safety glass. He put up a camera system instead. Cost him way less. Had a brick thrown once, regular glass broke but the alarm scared them off. Insurance paid for the fix no problem. That laminated stuff seems like overkill for a quiet street.

What finally pushed you to make the switch? We upgraded after a rock hit our old glass and we saw the cracks spiderweb everywhere. The price for the laminated stuff hurt at first, but getting it done was pretty fast and didn't close us down. Honestly, the peace of mind knowing it won't shatter into a million pieces is worth the extra cost now. It just feels like a basic thing you should have for your staff and customers.

Consider the hidden costs beyond insurance payouts. Cleanup and lost business hours add up fast after a break-in. That's where the laminated glass pays for itself over time.
