Glassblowing oops: From ornament to accidental art piece

I was blowing a small glass ball for a tree decoration. It got too hot and slumped into a flat, wavy shape on the bench. Has this ever happened to you, and what did you do with the result?

Saw an article about how some glass artists now do controlled slumping on purpose. They heat pieces until they bend over a mold to make shallow bowls or plates. Your wavy piece sounds like it found its own cool shape.
