Getting a clean seal on a double-walled tumbler took me three full days of trial and error.
I'm stuck between thinking it's a basic skill you just need to practice more and the idea that some glass formulas are just harder to work with for that specific join, so what's your take on what makes a perfect seal so tricky sometimes?

Yeah @wright.eva I almost choked on my coffee reading "three days on one seal." Honestly? My record is like a weekend on a single stubborn join and I had to walk away twice. But here's the thing, some glass formulas just don't play nice. I found that borosilicate stuff can be a total nightmare for double-walled stuff compared to soda lime. Three days is definitely way past the point where I'd be polishing that seal into a thin mess or just scrapping it and starting fresh.

Three days on one seal?

Three days on one seal is wild to me. That's pushing it way past the normal limit. I'd be worried about it losing its stick and just falling off. Honestly, it sounds like a recipe for a leak and a huge mess.
