Serious question, has anyone else's phone battery health dropped way faster than expected?

My iPhone 13 Pro hit 85% battery health after just 18 months, which seems crazy fast compared to my old phone. What's the worst battery degradation you've seen on a gadget you actually took care of?

My old iPad Air 2 still has 78% battery health after like eight years. I used to think people complaining about new batteries were just unlucky. Then my wife's iPhone 12 needed a replacement after two years, and my own phone is dropping faster than any gadget I've owned. It really feels like the newer stuff is built to wear out quicker on purpose.

Yeah, the "newer stuff wearing out quicker" thing is real, I just turn off background app refresh on everything now.
