I dug out an old PDA review from 2005 and was blown away

The detail they went into was insane. Modern reviews skip so much useful info, it's frustrating, lol.

Call me crazy, but maybe we just got used to shorter reviews now. They probably still cover the basics that most people actually need.

My buddy bought a new vacuum based on a quick video review that just said it was strong and quiet. It broke down after two months because it had a known filter flaw none of the short reviews mentioned. He had to dig through old forum posts to find the real info. Shorter reviews might cover the basics, but they often skip the important problems you only find out later. He wasted a lot of money learning that lesson.
