Warning: A client in Denver offered me $500 for a month's work and called it a 'portfolio builder'.

I told him my rate was triple that, and he got mad, saying freelancers were greedy. Has anyone else had someone try to pay you in 'exposure' this blatantly?

Block them and move on, because people like that will never value your work. They're trying to use shame as a cheap negotiation tactic. Your real clients are out there.
