A five-minute habit that cuts through the foundry din
The constant clang and heat used to leave me jangled. I'd drive home with my shoulders up by my ears. A retired guy told me to try box breathing before I leave. You breathe in for four seconds, hold for four, out for four, hold for four. I do it right after I wash up, still in my gear. It resets my nerves like nothing else. Maybe it can help you unwind too.

Saw a guy at the shop last year get his glove caught in one, broke three fingers before he could hit the kill switch. @the_jake is right, you don't mess around with that air pressure. Always keep loose fabric and your hands way clear when it's running. That torque will grab anything in a split second.
