Went to a new supply house in Tampa and their LVP was a total nightmare

Honestly I stopped by Flooring Depot off I-75 last week to grab some LVP for a small bathroom job. The owner was bragging about this new click-lock line they just got in so I grabbed a few boxes. Got back to the site in Wesley Chapel and the planks wouldn't lock together no matter what I tried. I spent 45 minutes fighting with three pieces and the tongue kept snapping off on every single one. Called the supply house back and the guy said oh yeah we had a few complaints about that batch but we thought it was just installer error. Ngl I'm pretty steamed I wasted a whole afternoon on garbage product. Has anyone else run into bad batches of click-lock flooring from a random supply house lately?

Come on man you probably just didn't read the instructions or didn't let the planks acclimate long enough, that's the number one reason click-lock fails. Every time I hear someone complain about a bad batch it turns out they were trying to install in a humid garage or they skipped the tapping block altogether. Three broken tongues in a row sounds like user error way more than a warehouse full of defective flooring.

Did you try smacking them with a rubber mallet first?
