Update: My reversal on using laser levels for tile lines
I used to snap chalk lines for tile layouts, thinking lasers were overkill. After a complex herringbone pattern, the laser saved me hours and improved accuracy. Do you use lasers for layout or stick to old school methods?

Laser setups are crazy expensive upfront though, and the maintenance can be a real headache. That saved time gets eaten up fixing alignment issues or replacing parts. Sometimes the old manual method is just more reliable, even if it's slower. Why does everyone act like new tools have no downsides?
