Unpopular opinion: that 'easy' glue-down LVP job in a 500 sq ft condo turned into a 12 hour nightmare because of the slab
The moisture test passed, but the adhesive just wouldn't set right on the concrete, and we had to pull up half of it. Anyone dealt with a slab that just won't take glue properly?

Was the slab bone dry before you started? I've seen that fool a moisture meter. @nancyd85 might be onto something with a hidden sealant, but sometimes a simple acid wash beats grinding the whole thing.

Tell me about it, my first glue down job looked like a toddler's art project by the end. Moisture test was fine but the slab felt like it was sweating oil, nothing wanted to stick. Had to rent a floor grinder and scarify the whole thing, which added a whole new kind of fun to the weekend. Sometimes that concrete just has a secret layer of sealant or dust it never told you about.
