Update: All the new HOA rules here are adding days to our jobs
My town's homeowners associations keep adding crazy rules about fence styles and colors. Now we have to submit plans for approval before we even start digging post holes. It drags out every project and customers get mad at us for the delay. Just makes a straight forward job way more complicated.

Those HOA delays can really test your patience, @garcia.kelly. I once waited three months for a yes on a new mailbox, and I still picked the wrong shade of beige. Now every time I see it, I just laugh at how silly it all was. Your post hit home because these stories are too common. Maybe we should start a support group for HOA approval survivors.

Good grief, my friend had to get HOA approval for a simple storage shed, one of those pre-built ones. They made her submit the color swatch, approved it, and then when it was delivered they said it was the wrong shade of gray and made her repaint the whole thing.
